What is Voices for Children?
Voices for Children is a non-profit child advocacy organization located in Bryan, Texas.
The mission of Voices for Children is to improve the lives of children in foster care through powerful volunteer advocacy.
Voices for Children trains and supports community volunteers to be the voice for children in court, in schools, at home and in the community.
Judges in the communities Voices for Children serves hear the desires and interests of kids in foster care because of Voices for Children's hard-working volunteers. Voices for Children's Court Appointed Special Advocates® (CASAs) go to court and testify regarding the best interests of local abused or neglected children. CASA volunteers become the expert on the children and families they serve by getting to know their appointed children through meetings, interviews, and reviewing records.
CASA volunteers remain on the their cases the entirety of the child's time in care- ensuring there is a constant in their lives during a time of constant change.
