What is Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Brazos Valley?
Big Brothers Big Sisters recruits community volunteers (Big Brothers/Big Sisters) to match them with at-risk youth (Little Brothers/Little Sisters). Bigs provide encouragement, friendship, guidance and support to children in need of a positive and caring adult role model in their life.
We are a 100% volunteer and donor-supported organization. We have no revenue from fees or earned income. Our funding comes from donations by individuals, grants, and special events such as Bowl for Kids' Sake and other fundraising events.
BBBS of the Brazos Valley has an annual revenue of about $254,000 and serves 300 children per year. We hope to grow to serve all the children in the Brazos Valley who want and need a mentor.
