What is The American Heart Association?
For nearly 100 years, the American Heart & America Stroke Association has been fighting heart disease and stroke, striving to save and improve lives.
Why it matters? Heart disease is the #1 killer in the world, and stroke ranks second. Even when those conditions don’t result in death, they can cause disability and diminish quality of life.
The American Heart Association funds more research than any U.S. organization except the federal government. In all, we spend nearly 80 cents of every dollar on research, education and community outreach.
